Pacers Foundation Awards 23 Grants

INDIANAPOLIS – At its fourth quarter board meeting last week, the Pacers Foundation awarded $96,000 in grants to 24 youth-serving organizations.

That brings the total for the 2018-19 fiscal year to $407,558 and 92 organizations, including continued multi-year grants to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Metropolitan Youth Orchestra.

“We are so gratified to be able to provide assistance to those who are doing such valued and necessary work on behalf Hoosier youth,” said Pacers Foundation Chairperson Rick Fuson. “We are also pleased that our support is reaching statewide, from Fort Wayne to Evansville and many cities in between.”

Since its inception in 1993, the Foundation has awarded $8.5 million in grants. It receives funds primarily from the annual Pacers Foundation golf outing, the Masquerade gala in partnership with the Simon Youth Foundation, a donation from CNO Financial Group for every Pacers 3-point shot made during home games, the 50/50 Raffle at Pacers home games and the sale of Pacers Foundation license plates through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
