Drive & Dish

Drive & Dish, Powered by Gleaners2Go, is a free program funded by Pacers coach Rick Carlisle with support from the Pacers Foundation, donors, corporate partners, and philanthropies, to provide nourishing food with dignity to families in need across Indiana.

In just its second year, the social impact program has evolved from a promising experiment into a sophisticated model for food security solutions. What began as a straightforward mission to provide fresh produce and eggs to Indianapolis families has transformed into an operation that served more than 1,000 households and 250,000 pounds of food in its first year alone.

Drive & Dish is positioned to engage communities across Indiana in meaningful dialogue about food security solutions, with proven success in both urban and mid-sized markets. The foundation is able to leverage its unique opposition at the intersection of sports, community development, and social impact to expand the innovative model statewide. Our three-point strategy for intentional engagement will establish the foundation as both a thought leader and action catalyst in addressing food insecurity – one community at a time.

The Pacers Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity dedicated to the refurbishment & renovation of basketball courts around Indiana. We recognize the importance of well-maintained public spaces as a key part of community and youth development. Individual grants up to $100,000 will be available for capital improvement.
The Pacers Foundation mission seeks to empower young people and invest in community partnerships addressing equity and justice in education, health, and safety. We envision Indiana as a place where our young people have access to opportunities and experiences to thrive. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the Lilly Foundation and Learn Fresh to bring NBA Math Hoops to Indianapolis Public Schools and the State of Indiana.
