NBA Math Hoops

presented by the eli lilly foundation

The Pacers Foundation’s mission seeks to empower young people and invest in community partnerships addressing equity and justice in education, health, and safety. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the Lilly Foundation and Learn Fresh to bring NBA Math Hoops to schools across Indiana. Math Hoops leverages the game of basketball and the NBA/WNBA brands to build fundamental math skills through a physical and digital basketball-themed board game, a curriculum, and a community program experience. The program, offered to fourth- through eighth-grade students, is a four-year initiative made possible by a $800,000 grant from the Lilly Foundation to the Pacers Foundation. Math Hoops is entering its third year in Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) and other schools across the state.
