DAVID BENNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The David Benner Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of longtime Indiana Pacers media relations director David Benner. A 1973 graduate of Center Grove High School, Benner attended Indiana University Bloomington and IUPUI. He began his journalism career as a copy boy at The Indianapolis Star, later joining the sports staff. He became the Pacers’ media relations director in 1994 and retired in June 2022.
To carry on his legacy, the scholarship is awarded annually to students pursuing similar career paths. Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled at an Indiana college, university, two-year junior college or community college, with a major in journalism, radio, TV, digital broadcasting or a related field. The scholarship is supported by those who remember David and who want to perpetuate his legacy.

LINDA CRAIG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Linda Lorraine Sharvelle Craig by former Indiana Pacers athletic trainer and team administrator David Craig and Dr. John Abrams. The scholarship is supported by those who remember Linda and wish to honor her legacy. Each year, three $2,500 scholarships are awarded for use at an accredited four-year Indiana college or university, or a two-year junior or community college.
